Barbdos is set in the Lesser Antilles and is the most
Eastern of Caribbean islands. Often refed as 'the
gem of the Caribbean', Barbados has been blessed with
beautiful turquise waters, with powder white sands, much
of the island is protected by her coral reefs streching
around the island. The landscape is mostly flat
with rolling hills and valleys, but also has some magnificant
views of the island and coast that can be seen from the
hilltop ridges.
Barbados also has a diverse coastline. The north
and east coasts would be at the mercy of the mighty Atlantic
Ocean if it were not for the giant cliffs of coral and
stone. On the Eastern and Southern side, the flat waters
of the Caribbean caress the silver sands of this beautiful
island.
Once, a British colony, Babados is now independent
and has a rich heritage and culture. Bajans, as they
are called, are some of the friendliest people in the
caribbean, alwasy smiling and kind, it makes for a welcoming
place to visit.
